OMG it is extremely humid here in Grenada. I’ve never been the type to infuse my water but adding cucumbers has helped me tremendously in keeping cool. Key limes and berries are also refreshingly good and hydrating. That’s one of my biggest tips to glow from the inside- out.
I personally don’t wear makeup unless its some special occasion. Brows, lips and a little powder does it for me on a regular day. I’m all for multi-use of products especially makeup and as its summer I’m sharing a few ways to get the most out of your makeup and still look beat.
BB creams- ditch your foundation and get a BB cream. A lightweight sheer formula that’s perfect for the hotter months. I moisturize and prime my face not forgetting SPF. I lightly apply a loose powder where I tend to sweat a lot then my BB cream. I’m currently using the L. A. Girl pro.bb cream in the shade deep.
Brows- I’m surprised to see that there isn’t another eyebrow style trending this summer. I still know of women who still haven’t mastered the art of “perfect brows” but once they’re groomed just add brow gel or use a pencil to define. The ABH brow wiz is slim and perfect for defining my brows and well if you can’t be bothered the natural brow is always a good look.
SPF- I can’t stress enough how much we need to use SPF. You need to protect your skin no matter who you are. Those harsh rays from the sun can cause wrinkles, sunspots and skin cancer and that we don’t need. I’m currently using the Olay Regenerist with SPF 25. It the perfect 2 in 1 for everyday use.
Lipstick as blush- yup you read correct. Your favorite pink or coral cream lipstick can also dupe as a blush for a pop of color on your cheeks, just ensure that you blend well to avoid any patches.
Lip liner and gloss- I honestly have no time to be worrying about lipstick smudges on my chin, so to avoid I use a lip-gloss. The NYX butter gloss hydrates my lip with just the right amount of color and even gives them a plump look.
Eyeshadow as highlighters- this right here is giving me glow goddess all summer long. If you’re like me with too many eyeshadow pallets and don’t know what to do with them then I have the answer for you, use them as an all over body shimmer mixed with your favorite oil or to highlight the high points on your body. You can even mix and match to create your own signature shade. Isn’t playing with makeup so much fun?!
