Hello my loves,
It’s been a minute since I published anything fashion related so lets discuss ruffles. On the runways of Spring/Summer 18, ruffles were a huge hit. Although this isn’t so much of a trend & you may be thinking that the last time you wore ruffles was as a kid, pause right there. Ruffles are evolving in so many chic, wearable styles. Don’t go thinking that it belongs to your grandma neither because I am sure if you search her closet you may find something you like.
Nevertheless, I’ve been obsessing over statement sleeves with a ruffle detail – go big or go home. Mini ruffle dresses are perfect for girls brunch or even a dinner date. If you’re lacking in the boob department it is said that ruffled layered tops can give the illusion of a bigger bust. Same as ruffled bottoms can make your hips appear wider. It’s entirely what fits your body structure and what you feel comfortable wearing.
Style experts such as Amiee Song, Naomi Boyer & Sydne Summer all have different takes on how you can wear ruffles. Their channels are linked so have a look if interested.
I purchased this pinstripe ruffle dress from an online boutique. It was on sale for only $30 XCD can’t recall the original price. I loved how it looked on the model. However, upon receiving the dress I disliked the material. It’s totally sheer with no underlining. I can still use it as a cover up for the beach or vacation.

For this dress I decided to wear my rose gold metallic slides from Payless and my Gingerlilly canvas tote to compliment. Typical tourist setting in St. George, getting in the groove for Chocolate Fest 2018.

Too bad that dress is sheer… it looks great on you! I’m super into ruffles myself lately… glad I’m not the only one 😉

Thanks Hun. I was a bit disappointed when I got the dress but I can still wear it.
I’ve always been a fan of ruffles especially tops/shirts to add a statement.
