DIY Face Mask

Hey Loves!

Can you believe it’s the first of May?!

I’m gonna blink and summer is here, that’s how fast time is flying.

I’ve been wanting to share this DIY for the longest time. Finally used it on myself so here goes.

Self-care is so necessary and I won’t stop stressing that. I did a facial steam over the weekend followed by an amazing mask.

This DIY mask I don’t use use regularly as I exfoliate often with a mild scrub. The ingredients used were olive oil & turmeric powder. I’m sure everyone has these in their pantry so why not test it out to see if it works for you.

Turmeric has many healthy benefits for the skin which includes:

  • Healing wounds.
  • It’s natural anti-inflammatory properties helps with acne.
  • It enhances your skin tone.
  • It is known as a skin tonic by which it gives your skin a natural radiant glow.

The yellow spice is similar to curry powder and is beneficial for oily skin which I have. It controls oil & removes dirt from your pores. Turmeric gently exfoliates and cleanses the skin with its natural properties. Olive oil added to the powder will hydrate, soften and give the skin a healthy looking glow. That amount of anti- oxidants you are adding to your skin is also said to reverse daily skin damage and signs of aging. Amazing right ?!

1/2 tspn turmeric powder

1 tbsp olive oil

Mix well until it turns into a paste. Apply unto your face and neck. Leave for 30 minutes then rinse.

Truth be told I didn’t apply moisturizer after this treatment. It also helps with fading dark spots. The only reason why I dislike is because the powder stains; be extra careful and ensure necessary steps to avoid the mess. Other than that, I love the way my skin feels and glows.

Stay Fab!

  1. Love this! It’s one of my favorite programs to throw in the Res Halls for students and they love making their own beauty products, I usually use coconut oil , sweet almond oil, essential oil and some food coloring to give it different colors. Works so well !
