Today I’m sharing with you some beauty products/items I’ve accumulated over a period of time. Most of these items I bought online and a few in store. If you have any suggestions about affordable makeup or skin care products you’ve tried and are worthy please let me know in the comments.
Maybelline Shine Shot Lip Top Coat- over the years I’ve shied away from glosses as the matte trend became popular. As a teenager lip glosses were my go to as I wasn’t allow to wear any other makeup products. I ended up buying this product at a local beauty supply store while travelling last year. It keeps my lips hydrated and it isn’t oily or cheap looking. It looks lovely over lipsticks and is long-lasting.
Maybelline Fit Me Set + Smooth Powder 355 coconut I wished I had watched the Jackie Ania review of this product before purchasing. It’s a bit to light for me. I thought it would match as I use the 355 coconut foundation. Nevertheless I still use it throughout my makeup application. I will probably try one of their loose powders next.
Wet n Wild Megaglo highlighting gold bar- I actually bought this at the kiosk at a local supermarket. After three months I realized there is a mirror compact at the base lol. Talk about glow, this bar does just what it’s description says.
Wet n Wild Makeup Brushes – my mom actually picked these up for me as a stocking stuffer from a dollar store. I got the contour and smokey liner brush. I prefer the contour as its soft and the shape get the perfect angle. The liner however it’s bristles are a bit tough and left face the fact that I am lazy when it comes to smoking anything out. I will recommend for beginners and those experimenting with makeup. These brushes are cruelty-free/ gluten-free and vegan.
MUA whipped velvet bronze – my friend in London gifted me this product. All the links currently show sold out but I sure you can purchase at any store that carries MUA products. When I want a flush natural glow with no makeup and a little gloss I go for this bad boy. It glides onto my skin perfectly and melts after a few hours giving you a sun-kissed glow.
Elf poreless face primer – one of the best primers for oily skin in my opinion. Blurs your pores reduces shine and lasts for a couple of hours once you set after using.
L.A Colors Auto Eyeliner (black) – I’ve used this product about four times. It’s not the best but if you’re looking for affordable this will work. I used it primarily on my water line which only lasted for an hour as they’re watery. I’ll probably find another use for it soon.
L.A Colors Mineral Blush (spiced rum) – the first time I tried this blush I fell in love. I use it as both blush and contour when I’m on the go. It is highly pigmented and the shade selection is huge so I’m pretty sure you can find one that matches your complexion.
Sleek Face Contour Kit (dark) – I bought this duo a few years ago and a friend of mine snatched it from me. This year I decided to repurchase and give it another go. The contour is pressed powder just in case. No complaints here especially from the highlight. I love it. Available in Light, medium and dark. Sleek always comes through for women of color.
Sacha Fix-It Spray– this is the second setting spray I’ve ever owned. It’s affordable and keeps your makeup long-lasting. Available locally at most beauty supply stores and online.
L.A Girl Gel Extreme Shine Nail Polish – one of the best drugstore nail polishes I’ve ever tried. I highly recommend this product as its long-lasting, shines for dear life and dries quickly after application without UV light.
Sephora Colorful gloss balm (adjust your tiara) – with a high shine finish and a touch of color this balm is one you’ll definitely be carrying around in your bag. I love how it feels on my lips and it smells amazing too.
Sephora Bright Future Color Corrector (04 Peach) – I was gifted this along with gloss. I tried it once didn’t like how it made my skin look, wrong shade I’m guessing. May need to try 06 Orange/Deep or 05 Melon or 02 yellow.
