In the middle of the Leeward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean lies the beautiful Antigua & Barbuda. Known as one of the Caribbean’s most popular wedding destinations; Antigua is filled with vast history, exquisite beaches and an upbeat culture. To the south are the islands of Montserrat and Guadeloupe & to the north St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Barts and St. Martin.
I’ve been visiting since I was a child. Antigua was the first island I ever travelled to in the Caribbean. Literally every chance I get I’m always there. You can say it’s my second home. I visited last December to spend the Holidays with my family. Christmas in Wadadli is such an amazing experience. The lights, the food, the spirit – makes the ambiance so inviting. I didn’t get around much as most of the time was spent with my family and friends. This trip was so much fun words can’t even express. The preparations for Christmas, drinking all my aunt’s sorrel LOL, learning to make punch the crème; roasted turkey; ginger beer, and eating the famous (salted ham) are forever cherished memories. Exercise and the gym did not exist LOL. The events NYE and New Year’s Day made this trip a memorable one. Thinking about it now warms my heart. Take me back!!
Here are a few snaps of the Island…..Stay Fab.
